Sydney holds the title of most expensive capital city to rent in Australia, where as Perth is currently at reduced rates which declined over the past six years . A survey of more than 1000 Sydneysiders from McCrindle Research asked about the challenges of living in Sydney revealed cost of living being the greatest concern followed by housing affordability and traffic commute times.
2. QUALITY OF EDUCATION
A lot of corporate clients are relocated with their families and schooling is of utmost importance. Perth has amazing schools, both private and state schools depending on the location, most clients secure the school before choosing their accommodation.

Officially claiming the title from Queensland as ‘the Sunshine State’, Perth boasts 8.8 hours of sunshine a day on average – according to The Bureau of Meteorology. That’s right, sunny Perth is the brightest of all capital cities, with around 3,229 hours of sunshine each year. Followed by Sydney, with a meer 2,635. All this extra sunshine means more time to enjoy the great outdoors, not to mention more opportunities for a better work-life balance. Hot tip: choose a beautiful day and take a ferry to Perth’s favourite summer playground, Rottnest Island – just 30 minutes off the coast.
4. EASE OF LIVING
Regularly ranked in the top 10 livable cities in the world, it’s not hard to understand why people are flocking towards Perth’s relaxed urban vibe. Idyllic climate, beautiful pristine shorelines, stunning sunsets over the Indian Ocean, a world class wine region just a stone’s throw away and one of the largest inner city parks in the world with 400 hectares of native flora are just a few of Perth’s most striking features.
